Online racebooks are another example of a form of gambling that requires special regulation. This is in part due to the system of pari-mutuel betting that is conducted in many parts of the world. Offshore moneyline betting is still quite common, however, and many sportsbooks also offer a racebook service. This means that regulatory authorities that handle sportsbooks will also often oversee the racebook portions of those gambling sites.
